Why should I juice ?
By being properly nourished and hydrated at a cellular level and by promoting alkalinity in our body is the best way to increase energy and have balance in our health. Nothing applied topically to our skin can give us the hydration and show our health that comes from within. The more alkaline your body is, the slower the aging process. Generally speaking, most vegetables and fruits have an alkaline-forming effect on your body fluids. Most grains, animal foods, alcohol, coffee and highly processed foods have an acid-forming effect on your body.
This simple addition of fresh live cold-pressed juice daily will ensure you are properly detoxifying your body to promote wellness, obtaining maximized cellular nourishment, slowing down the aging process and giving yourself an energy boost.
What is cold press juice & what the difference between cold pressed and other juices ?
Traditionally, this is the most common type of juicer. These typically utilize a fast-spinning metal blade that spins against a mesh filter, separating juice from flesh via centrifugal force. The juice and pulp are then separated into different containers. The problem with centrifugal juicers is that the fast-spinning metal blade generates heat, which destroys some of the enzymes in the fruits and vegetables you’re juicing. The heat also oxidizes those nutrients, rendering less nutritious juice than a cold-press juicer.
Cold Press extract juice by first crushing and then pressing fruit and vegetables for the highest juice yield. Because they don’t produce as much heat, they keep more of the fresh ingredients’ nutrients intact. This method allows us to extract five times the amount of vitamins, minerals and enzymes as a typical centrifugal or mastication produced juice. What is left at the end is a dried out pulp which contains little to no nutritional value (since all of your nutrients are now in your juice!) All of our juices are topped off before bottling to further minimize any oxidation and stay fresh and alive for up to 72 hours. Although this method is expensive, precious enzymes remain alive and the least amount of oxygen is introduced during processing.
Are your juices 100% organic ?
Yes. Our juices are made with organic produce that is also local whenever possible. We are big believers in supporting small, local, organic & sustainable farms that provide produce free of chemicals, herbicides and pesticides.
What does it mean when my juice separates?
R-E-L-A-X, RELAX!! Shake and Consume! Separation is completely normal with fresh juice. Thats how you know your not getting any of the random junk in your drink.
How long does juice last?
3-4 Days. Cold pressing creates a 100% natural, raw juice. As a result, it is highly perishable by modern grocery store standards. If kept refrigerated at 38 degrees or below, it will last for up to 4 days. You can freeze your juice to extend its life. If you do, please let it defrost completely before enjoying it to avoid a “water-downed” taste, as water thaws quicker than vitamins.
What is HPP?
Pasteurization is a process used on items en route for human consumption (i.e. juice) that brings the product to extremely high temperatures before rapidly cooling it down again. The reason behind this is to kill off all unwanted or harmful bacteria while extending shelf life; yet the process also leads to the destruction of any beneficial and nutrient dense life forms.
In order to avoid pasteurizing their juices, many companies have turned to a new alternative called HPP or high pressure processing. HPP is a process similar to pasteurization except intense pressure is used instead of heat to eliminate any harmful bacteria. This process can only be performed on plastic bottles and it allows companies to artificially increase the juice's shelf life to just about 30 days. The disadvantage to this is that the live enzymes that give raw juice it's benefits, die off after 4-7 days meaning that, just as pasteurized juice, you are no longer retaining maximum nutritional value.
Alkies does not believe in artificially extending the shelf life of our juice. We work hard to bring our customers nutrition in it's most pure form and will not sacrifice quality for shelf space in retailers.

Do you deliver to businesses ?
Yes, we do! .
Do I have to be home for my delivery ? Since our juices are highly perishable and need to be refrigerated immediately, it is important that someone is there to receive the delivery. If our driver arrives and no one is home they will attempt to call you to inform you that your package is delivered. Alkies is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged goods once delivered.
Do you ship juices ?
Currently we are only delivering within Milwaukee/Chicago area. Our goal is to send our juices all around the world so check back soon.
Do you cater private events ?

Do you accept returns ?
No, we do not. Because it is a perishable item we do not offer refunds on orders. If there was any issue with your order or your drinks please email us at alkiesmoothies@gmail.com and we will handle the situation as we see fit.
Can I cancel my order after its placed ?
If you must cancel your order we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any order cancelled later than 24 hours cannot be refunded.
Do I have to pre order my juices ?
